10.5 million tons of sunflower were harvested in Ukraine
As of the end of December, grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine were threshed by 10.6 million hectares, which is 92% of the planned areas, from which 48.8 million tons of grain were harvested with an average yield of 46.1 c/ha. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine.
As specified, the harvesting of late group crops is still ongoing:
corn for grain was threshed by 3.3 million hectares (78%), 21.4 million tons were threshed (yield – 64.6 c/ha);
buckwheat was threshed on 116 thousand hectares (98%), 158.5 thousand tons (13.7 kg/ha) were threshed;
millet was threshed on 44.7 thousand hectares (99%), 101.8 thousand tons (22.8 kg/ha) were threshed.
"Sunflower harvesting was carried out on 4.8 million hectares (99%), from which 10.5 million tons of seeds were harvested with a yield of 21.7 c/ha. Soybeans were harvested 3.7 million tons with a yield of 24.3 c/ha, the harvesting area is 1.52 million hectares (99%)," the report says.
The harvesting of rapeseed has already been completed: it was held on an area of 1.1 million hectares, and its gross harvest amounted to 3.2 million tons. The yield is 28.9 kg/ha.
Recall that in 2021, 22.6 million tons of oilseeds were harvested in Ukraine: sunflower harvest amounted to 16.3 million tons, soybeans — 3.4 million tons, rapeseed — 2.9 million tons.
